Weekly Photo Challenge: Lily Pond Reflection

Lily Pond Reflection

One of the cooler features at the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers is a lily pond inside the building. If it’s not to crowded, you can walk right up to it and enjoy the view. Considering how many tourists see it every day, it’s amazing how clean and serene it is. Larger version viewable here.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Springtime Visitor

Springtime Visitor

This week’s challenge is all about stuff being enveloped. It reminded me of the bees currently visiting my front yard; they buzz amongst the flowers, digging deep for the pollen within. It’s easy to imagine the little critters being wrapped up in the petals of a huge flower. Large version available here.

Under The Tree By The Falls

Under The Tree

When visiting Rainbow Falls, most people immediately go under this tree to take a photo of the falls. However, most people fail to notice how awesome the viewpoint itself looks! Large version available here.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Sunburned Rose

Sunburned Rose

This week’s challenge is about the ephemeral. It reminded me of this rose I noticed in a nearby yard. It had already roasted a bit in the early spring heat, so I came back with a little water. Who knows how long it’ll last…

Weekly Photo Challenge: Daisy Drops

There’s a fresh bunch of daisies growing out front. They look so beautiful in the spring sun…Large version available here.
