When tourists come to the Big Island, they usually seek out the island’s famous white or black sand beaches. What they normally pass up, however, are the gray sand beaches. Ho’okena Beach Park is kind of small and secluded, but its unusual colors and rocky formations make it stand out. This is a macro shot of a small rock partially buried in the waves.
